They often say, “A penny for your thoughts”, however then you “put your two cents in”, so normally you are being ripped off lol. But as I am not taking comment currently – “A penny saved, a penny earned” (The follow starts in Jan 2020)
I am starting a new section here. While working on another page I started a run that reminded me of how I use to journal while sitting on our patio in Houston, Texas. While the house, patio and Texas are no longer ours (ha ha – sounds like Douglas Adams), the thoughts are. I’m not sharing where I am today (maybe later), but lets imagine for now that I am sitting on the future deck of our home in Georgia, having coffee, watching humming birds and reaching out to the world at large.

WARNING – POSSIBLE RANT OCCURRING HERE: …. And I am critical of my writing skills. I do want to express, share and hopefully stimulate. I never want to feel like I am boosting, being insensitive or not in touch with reality. Frankly, as has been said before, ” Regardless of all the negative events that often occur in our lives, we can all maintain our happiness by learning to interpret whatever circumstances we deal with in a positive light”. I’m not suggesting play the fool or as in Monty Python “The Holy Grail” when a character looses both arms and one leg in battle and says “It’s just a flesh wound!” but I am saying, as I have often seen in life, most of us are as happy or sad as we make up our minds to be. Find the joy in where you are, what you do, who you choose to associate with, take responsibility for the things in life you DO have control over. Stop playing the blame game or the whoa is me. If you need help – Find It. If you need, as my old friend JD use to say – “Belly Button Time” – take it (Get a pad of paper, find a quiet park, get out of your element and recapture where you are, what you intend to do – writing things down helps) and get your life BACK in focus. THEN take action. It is so easy to get off track from your mission in life. Just like weight, I didn’t get this far out of shape over night, I can’t reasonably expect to reclaim my health over night, but I CAN DO SOMETHING to make a positive impact RIGHT NOW – and repeat.

2020 Jan 21 – It’s been about seven months and many things have occurred since the last post. First from a disclosure perspective, ….. in the last post I declined to note my location, the best part is I was sitting on the Rhine in Rotterdam, Netherlands, I didn’t share because we were mid trip and I don’t like sharing when our home is vacant. Yes, I said Netherlands. And what a wonderful place to add to ones perspective, mentally, spiritually and politically.
I’ve learned to not pine for Texas, my wife and I (as is our goal) embrace wherever we are, and we are enjoying exploring the south east United States of America. Recently for example we jumped down to Florida for a week, Kennedy Space Center – Blue Man Group – Driving the coast from Canaveral to Vero Beach.
