Houston Natural History Museum
Having lived in the DC metropolitan area I’m no novice to museums.. But there’s something about coming in the fall, after the children have gone back to school, the family vacations are over, and on a Tuesday morning walking around rooms where in the past 300 people were crammed in and today only a handful of people pass me in the dark.
We just left the Egyptian exhibit and I must say standing there in the quiet among the dozen sarcophagus is an amazing snapshot of time.
As you proceed into the Aztec chamber wonderful music plays, the recorded sounds of birds, a little closer to home but yet still so far away. I also think I can sit here peacefully all day.

Coming up on the first anniversary of our move to Houston, Texas. I wanted to find a format to share my thoughts regarding the past year, moving forward, LIFE, family, etc. It amazes me how quickly the year has gone, and frankly I need some perspective…… without all the Facebook noise.
